VLC After-School

Welcome to VLC After-School!

We are pleased that you are interested in learning more about what many call the “VLC Experience” and how our child centered program addresses the needs of bright students who experience learning challenges and struggle with barriers to learning. At Victoria Literacy Centre, we view each child as an individual and are committed to finding what works best for them.

Our Admissions Team works collaboratively with families: we seek to learn about your child as you learn about our institute. Our goal is to ensure that Victoria Literacy Centre truly represents the right fit for your child’s needs. We invite you to browse our website to learn more about our programs and hope that many of your initial questions will be answered.

If you have additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or by email at victorialiteracytt@gmail.com.

Victoria Literacy Centre offers support programs that are structured to support the learner's individual needs by applying tried and tested approaches to student development. Learner support is provided to children, teens, and adults. Our mission is to support learners by helping them manage their respective barrier -to-learning, and their learning difficulties better.

 Typically the students we serve:

     (1) experience varying classifications of difficulty,

     (2) experience varying intensities of difficulty, and

     (3) experience mild and intrinsic barriers-to-learning (general learning difficulties).

Remember, the sooner we begin remedial support and start assisting your child, the better we will be able to support your family:

     (1) minimize current and potential gaps in curriculum skills development,

     (2) improve the quality of learning and classroom experience,

     (3) reduce current and potential negative effects of learning disabilities, and

     (4) manage learning differences.

Benefit from Academic Learning Assessments

Each day brings with it new opportunities for parents to access support needed to improve and maintain reading and academic performance for their children. Through the Victoria Literacy Centre’s “Learn to Succeed Initiative”, we combine the provision of licensed assessments with scientifically based literacy strategies to lift a child’s spirit and give them opportunities for academic and personal development.
