About Us

Department for Home School Education

We are an independent, remedial education service provider in Southern Trinidad providing professional academic learning support to mainstream and special education communities. Victoria Literacy Centre – Gasparillo classroom provides a cozy environment for enjoying a student-centered approach through hybrid learning to support student development.

The choice to homeschool in Trinidad and Tobago means that parents are opting to have their child engage learning outside of the traditional experience of public school. Through homeschooling, families can take advantage of the flexibility, academic benefits, efficiency, and opportunities homeschooling can offer. In this way, parents seek an education and even a lifestyle that’s not based on minimum standards and a one size fits all approach.

Home school support offered through Victoria Literacy Centre include:

§ Quality of Work Assessments

§ Individualized Education Plans

§ Curriculum/Unit Planning

§ Student Learning Resources

§ Learner Schedules

§ Full-schedule classes

Using the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Education curriculum as the basis for unpacking and creating individualized education plans for learners, Victoria Literacy Centre supports learner growth and related development. Our programs are dynamic allowing teaching staff to reinforce excellence through virtual teaching methods, care, and active interest in the growth of our students. Our low student-teacher ratio creates a potent framework to engage learners in activities that are both meaningful and constructive.
